4/12/2020 Quick Facts About Colloidal WaterWhat is it? Colloidal water is a solution made up of pure distilled water with small nano-sized pure (.999) silver particles suspended in it. It basically is a non-toxic, antimicrobial solution.
Any History? The beneficial qualities of silver have been known for thousands of years. Roman soldiers put a silver coin in their canteens on long marches to ensure their drinking water didn’t go bad. Ancient Persian kings would only drink water from their rivers after it had sat in a silver goblet. Wealthy Europeans used silver cups, goblets, plates, and silverware to their benefit. More recently, NASA has used silver-impregnated filters to purify drinking water for astronauts on space missions and on the space station. Filters in both air and water purifiers today have silver particles in them, and silver particle sponges and cloths are sold now at grocery and hardware stores to clean cutting boards and countertops. Hospitals today utilize silver particle dressings on burns and wounds. In short, there is a long history of the beneficial effects of silver as an antimicrobial agent. How is it taken? Colloidal water can be applied topically (usually sprayed or dabbed) on the skin, or in the throat, nose or ears. Body parts can be immersed in it. It can be taken orally (swished around in the mouth for maximum effectiveness) and swallowed. It can also be inhaled (using a nebulizer) into the lungs. What has it been used for? Colloidal water has been used on both bacterial and viral maladies. It is especially useful on infections, and also on burns (to reduce pain and to speed healing). From helping with fungus to soothing sore throats, it’s uses are too numerous to list. It’s uses also range from helping fresh cut flowers have a longer shelf life, to cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, to removing garbage and pet odours. It has many applications for pet owners as well. It has been used on dogs, cats, birds, fish, horses, and even reptiles and snakes very effectively. For many pets, an effective method is to put the colloidal water in their drinking dish or spray it into their mouth. Some owners find it easier to apply the colloidal water right into their pet’s mouth with a plastic (no needle) syringe; useful on small or baby critters. Of course, it can be sprayed into or poured into aquariums. How should it be stored? Colloidal water is best kept in a dark coloured (amber or blue) glass container. It needs to be kept out of direct / bright sunlight (we suggest putting it in a kitchen cupboard). It should be stored at room temperature, and not kept in a fridge or frozen. Storing it properly will ensure that the microscopic silver particles stay suspended in the water for maximum effectiveness. What about potency or strength? Many companies will advertise the PPM (parts per million) qualities of colloidal water. While this is certainly important (you want more silver content than less obviously), the size of the particles is also very important. Smaller particles can increase their effectiveness. Silverpur Water is at a minimum 10 PPM with particle sizes as small as .0008 microns. Comments are closed.
